Spring: Brightest Bright

Spring fashion is in full effect and it is perfectly filled with bright hues and happy prints. I have succumbed to the trend and started purchasing the perfect flats to brighten up all my outfits. And I must say, I am keen on the long skirts as well. If you feel that you are not ready to jump into this new trend, start with some accessories like a patterned scarf, accented shoes or painted nails.

Spring

Tuesday generally comes and goes – nothing too exciting happens but today I have a sneaking suspicion that today is more than the average Tuesday and good things will happen. I love when I have this feeling. The weather is perfectly breezy, the sun is out and spring is here.

I wonder what today will bring?! Do you have anything special on your agenda?

Tibi has taken my heart this year with their Spring 2011 fashion. It is chock full of clean lines, dreamy silhouettes and sex appeal. It definitely has a minimal feel with very few patterns and brilliant colors. I need and I want for 2011.

And I just love what Olivia Palermo has done with their collection. She was asked to choose the Tibi clothing that she’d like to be photographed in during the NYC, London, Paris & Milan shows – and to style them in her own personal way.

I love this cover from Vogue Italia February 2011. Not to mention Candice Swanepoel looks just stunning. The Victoria Secret model was photographed by Steven Meisel wearing an orange Blumarine Spring 2011 leather jacket. She does fit the cover theme – bright and bold.

Here are a few more photos from the magazine:

San Francisco’s weather has been so delightful these past few weeks I almost forget it is the middle of winter! I can not believe that he was near freezing here and constant rain just a few weeks ago. I wish that this weather would last just a little longer. I feel like I am finally getting some nice color! I plan to stay outside as long as possible this weekend wearing the most un-wintery clothes possible. I will finally try to wear some of my favorite spring looks!

Pantone’s color of 2011
is …(drum roll please) – Honeysuckle!
Who knew that honeysuckle was not a hue of yellow but
pink, a hot pink to be exact.

“Honeysuckle emboldens us
to face everyday troubles with verve and vigor. A dynamic reddish
pink, Honeysuckle is encouraging and uplifting. It elevates our
psyche beyond escape, instilling the confidence, courage and spirit
to meet the exhaustive challenges that have become part of everyday
life.” – Pantone
press release

As much as I love
all shades of
pink…I see it as more of an accent piece to my already colorful
life. What do you think of this year’s color?

With Zara‘s latest look book!

Chocolate and peanut butter buckeyes made with love from my fave cooking blog – Smitten Kitchen! They look absolutely delish. I am tempted to create them in my own kitchen.

This over the top room! I would love to be able to pull this off.

J. Crew Spring 2011 – the chill just hit SF but I can’t wait to see these bright colors looking back at me from my closet

Simple hair styles (no hair tie necessary)

and most of all I am smitten with the fact that my bags are pack & I am LA bound. As you read this, I am on a flight to see my best friend get married this weekend! I will be posting next week about the amazing event!

See you tomorrow Lovies!

I have a soft spot for Ann Taylor. The brand has really started to grow me over the last few years. I always assumed the clothes were tailored to a more mature woman but they have really changed that. Now I find myself pouring over their look books. Their spring 2011 accessories lines is the bees knees!

I just love Jil Sanders catwalk at NYFW. It looks like a color explosion…and I mean this in the most positive way. The colors are so vibrant and fresh as are the silohuettes. I am extremely happy to these beautiful colors making a comeback, arent you? I love the billowy oversized dresses that show just a hint of sexy. Would you dare to wear?

Ps. Yes, the third picture is of a plastic bag.

Rebecca Minkoff announced recently that she will be releasing a fabulous footwear line for the Spring of 2011. The first collection will be 25 styles and will make their debut at her presentation during New York fashion.  The line will retail for $160 to $395.

Wow! I can not wait for this line launch. I l.o.v.e the soft color palette. My only wish the launch was tomorrow!
